In the year 2000 one of our founders was faced with the need to seek a care home for his mother. Frustrated by what he found, none of the options available provided what he or his mother were looking for. Passionate about the care that he believed his mother deserved, he decided that the only way to find a home that provided exactly what they were looking for was to open his own. Along with two fellow directors, Chacombe House was purchased in December 2000. The house was lovingly converted to sheltered apartments and subsequently a state of the art care home was added to provide a care village that is, quite simply, without equal in the area.
A passion for the highest quality care at a fair price, enhancing the quality of life of our residents, pervades everything we do at Chacombe Park. It is, quite simply, our reason for being. The attention to quality that comes from a totally dedicated and committed workforce is overseen by the continued full-time involvement of the directors. Chacombe Park is not part of an anonymous corporate entity; it is a personalised, individual home where sometimes the smallest detail enables us to stand out from the rest.
Our outstanding care village is situated in over 20 acres of beautiful parkland in the charming village of Chacombe in Northamptonshire, close to the historic market town of Banbury and the borders of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire. Attractive walks, paved areas and extensive lawns overlook Cherwell Edge Golf Course, providing a tranquil and relaxing environment. Within walking distance can be found the historic public house, post office and various places of worship, all of which contribute to a lively village community. Chacombe Park comprises a spacious, modern care home providing the highest quality residential and nursing care, with single en-suite rooms enjoying extensive views. This complements the elegant Chacombe House, which includes 11 two-bedroom retirement apartments adjacent to 8 additional apartments in the mews.
Northamptonshire County Council recognises Chacombe Park’s commitment to quality by awarding us the highest quality rating that is attainable, namely the Four Roses, with a 100% rating. The Commission for Social Care Inspection says “We have decided that overall your service provides excellent outcomes for the people who use it”.
In 2006 Chacombe Park was a national finalist in the Independent Healthcare Awards and in 2007 was also a national finalist in the industry’s foremost design awards.
